Professor Kabir joined BRAC University in 2018 as a Professor and Chair of the Department of Pharmacy. She later became the Founder Dean of the School of Pharmacy at the same university in 2022.
Prior to that, she had been teaching at the Department of Pharmaceutical Technology, University of Dhaka for 21 years before retiring as Professor. She has a PhD in Pharmaceutical Marketing and over 26 years of research experience in the field of Pharmaceutics. She has also worked as a consultant in Biosimilars with Roche Bangladesh for a year.
Specific research interest is in the field of Treatment Strategies of non-communicable diseases, particularly cancer and diabetes. A major focus of her research is also in Mental Health and Drug Repurposing. Supervises both graduate and undergraduate research students, reviews articles, and continues to publish both research and review papers.
Strengths include strong work ethics, emphasis on quality, collegiality, and communication skills. Considers every change and challenge as an opportunity.
