Mahboob Hossain, PhD
Professor
Dr. M. Mahboob Hossain joined the Microbiology Program of the Department of Mathematics and Natural Sciences of BRAC University as Associate Professor in July 2010. Prior to that he was a full-time faculty in the Department of Pharmacy, Northern University Bangladesh for six months and in the Department of Pharmacy of University of Asia Pacific for 10 years. Before joining University of Asia Pacific, Mahboob worked as an Assistant Professor of Microbiology at Gonobishyabidyalay, Savar, Dhaka for about one year and six months. He also worked as a Research Fellow of Bangladesh Centre for Advanced Studies for one year. After completion of Masters Mahboob Hossain worked as an Assistant Microbiologist at the Organon Bangladesh Ltd. (a multinational pharmaceutical company of the Netherlands origin) for three and half years. He completed his Ph.D. from Shinshu University School of Medicine, Japan in 1996.
