Md. Arifuzzaman is currently working as Senior Asst. Registrar at BRAC University. In 2012, he received his last degree of Executive MBA from BRAC University major in Operations Management and Management Science. Arif obtained Master in Economics from University of Dhaka after completion of his BSc. in Economics from University of Calcutta. He also received a Diploma in E-commerce application development from Kaashyap Radiant Systems Ltd, India. He started his career as an executive in Telemedicine Company, jointly worked with AMD Telemedicine, Inc., USA. In 2003, he joined BRAC University after working in some reputed organizations. Arif visited George Washington University (GWU) as a Fulbright visiting scholar in 2006. During his visit, he had meetings with different organizations of higher education and support agencies like: American Association of Collegiate Registrars (AACRAO), International Reading Association (IRA), Association of American Colleges and Universities (AACU) and also had an opportunity to observe and study the work of different offices at GWU including classroom observations and visited other US universities like American University.
In his role as Senior Asst. Registrar, Arif oversees many aspects of BRACU programming, particularly course code system and management, registration and scheduling policies and procedures, and directly involve with university wide academic class and exam scheduling, registration process, space management, academic calendar preparation. He works closely with the university Registrar, Pro Vice Chancellor, and Vice Chancellor on strategic and long-range planning matters of different aspect.
