Dr. Mohammad Rafiqul Islam is specialized in sampling size and sampling design, data analysis using SPSS, R and other programs. Dr. Mohammad Rafiqul Islam possesses about 15 years’ experience in sampling design, data collection, data analysis, compiling and forecasting; and to prepare report. He is also able to build different Macroeconomic models. He is capable to analyze GDP, Export and Import of Bangladesh on the basis of System of National Accounts (SNA) and made prediction under different models for GDP, Export and Import.He has been teaching statistics in graduate and undergraduate levels for the students of business, Bio-technology, Microbiology and economics as well as computer science and engineering since 2008. He has experience in teaching in graduate and undergraduate levels in overseas country (Oman).Dr. Islam received my PhD degree in Macroeconomic Statistics from the Moscow State University of Economics, Statistics and Informatics, December 2006 under Russian government scholarship. He also completed Post-doctoral Research Fellowship in the department of statistical sciences in UniversitaDegliStudi Di Padova, Italy, under the Research Fellowship of Erasmus Mundus Mobility with Asia (EMMA) funded by the European Commission, October 2009.Besides, Dr. Islam has successfully completed several online courses offered by MIT, Harvard University, JOHNS HOPKINS UNIVERSITY', The University of Texas at Austin, The IE BUSINESS SCHOOL, Madrid, Spain and others. Dr. Islam has extensive research experience in Economic statistics and Bio-statistics. Under his supervision students of Economics and Biotechnology completed their M.Sc. theses. Currently his research interests are in area of Sampling, Bio-statistics and Time series analysis (temporal disaggregation) and macroeconomics. He is also capable to teach advanced econometrics, Macroeconomics (statistics) and Biostatistics for the graduate and postgraduate students of applied economics and Bio-technology respectively. Dr. Islam is well familiar with SPSS, STATA, R, ECOTRIM and MATHLAB. He has ten publications in national and international referred Journals and one book (PhD dissertation was published by the “Economic library” (online publication).
