Mr. Mohammad Aminul Islam
Senior Lecturer
Mohammad Aminul Islam is Senior Lecturer at BRAC Institute of Languages(BIL), BRAC University. His teaching, research and publications cover a wide range of issues reflecting on language and development, teachers' training and educational technology. These include comparative issues in language teaching and learning in Bangladesh.
Prior to joining with BRAC University he worked with English Language Teaching Improvement project (ELTIP) under Ministry of Education, Bangladesh. He has extensive experience of teaching across different age ranges and specific purposes.
He led BIL team while working with ILO and Save the Children. He also worked as a tutor of MYTEC course under Open University-UK.

+–- Coordinating the project for developing six English Language Modules of Midwifery course at BRAC University.( funded by UK-AID)
- Coordinating and facilitating ESP courses for BRAC Education and Microfinance Programs
- Coordinating the facilitators’ training and monitoring mEducation; an intervention for tutoring marginalized secondary children with English, Science and Math over phone in six districts.
- Coordinated, facilitated and developed materials for the ‘English manual development and English ToT for the teachers, instructors and master trainers’ of the project titled ‘Capacity Development of Teachers on Effective Use of Inter-active Audio Visual/ ICT Materials in English Language Teaching and Learning in Government Primary Schools’ in collaboration with Save the Children .
- Coordinated and facilitated Teacher Training for BRAC Primary Schools
- Coordinated and developed materials for UNICEF funded ’Skill Development Training for Advancing Resources’ program: a programme for technical and vocational learners for developing their language skill.
- Worked as team leader and developed materials for ‘Promoting Decent Work through Improved Migration Policy and its Application in Bangladesh’ a project in collaboration with ILO for developing language manuals.
- Coordinated training of ‘BRAC Primary School Teachers’ Training Program’, ‘Medhabikash, ’Skill Development Training for Advancing Resources’ developing materials for ILO and UNICEF funded vocational English curriculum.
- University-UK- English in Action- BRAC University’ jointly collaborated MYTEC Project in Dhaka and Gopalgonj district.
- I was the co-advisor of UNESCO Club, BRAC University and currently appointed as co-advisor of ‘Community Service Club’, BRAC University.
