Professor Dr. Abu Abdullah Ziauddin Ahmad has to his credit more than 50 years of research and teaching experience at prestigious institutions both home and aboard including Imperial College of Science, Technology and Medicine, London, UK; Oak Ridge National Laboratory,(ORNL).U.S.A; Institut Laue-Langevin(ILL), Grenoble, France; Atomic Energy Research Establishment(AERE), Harwell, UK; Atomic Weapons Research Establishment(AWRE), Aldermaston, UK; Birmingham University, UK, Pakistan Institute of Nuclear Science and Technology (PINSTECH), Rawalpindi, Pakistan; Atomic Energy Centre, Dhaka; Rajshahi University; Himachal Pradesh University, India; Bangladesh University of Engineering & Technology, Dhaka; Garyounis University, Libya; Bright Star University of Technology, Libya; The University of Asia Pacific, Dhaka, University of Dhaka & BRAC University, Dhaka.
Had been/am a member of Doctoral Committee and Board of Postgraduate Studies, Committees of Courses of different universities including BUET and Rajshahi University; Examiner of Dhaka University and Rajshahi University. Considerable experience in designing and developing the curricula and syllabi of different courses at various universities both at home and abroad. These courses include both science and engineering disciplines.
Dr. A. A. Z. Ahmad was born on November 24, 1938. He did his B.Sc(Hons) and M.Sc. in Physics from the University of Rajshahi, Bangladesh. He carried out research work in High Energy Physics at the Imperial College of Science, Technology & Medicine London, U.K, under the supervision of Prof. Sir C. C. Butler, FRS and obtained the Ph. D. degree in 1965. He also carried out research work in theoretical nuclear physics, neutron physics, lattice dynamics and crystal field level splitting.
