Modern electronics, communication and power systems, such as mobile telephones, digital TV, Internet, wireless networking and nanotechnology are bringing a revolution in business and in the lives of individuals. The global economy relies increasingly on high-speed data and other digital data networks interconnecting computers and other digital devices across the world. All aspects of business, from research and development to production, marketing and sales, benefit from the rapid advances in such technology. Continuous advancements in technology enhance our social lives, entertainment and education by providing media compression and seamless connectivity between equipment.
The objective of the degree is to provide the students with well-informed and well-balanced electronic / telecommunication / power system engineering tools to solve real world problems. Students would be trained in research methodology so that they can contribute in the creation of new ideas. The requirements of IEEE and curricula of North American and European universities and institutes have been taken into consideration while designing the course.
