Mathematics will also be offered as a minor for students doing a major in physics, CS, CSE, ECE, ESS or any other relevant discipline. Such major-minor combination will stand the students in good stead in the job market. The details of the minor in mathematics programme are given below:
Total Credits Requirement: (27 credits)
There will be seven compulsory courses, each of three credits, which are as follows:
1. MAT 111: Principles of Mathematics
2. MAT 211: Calculus II
3. MAT 221: Real Analysis I
4. MAT 223: Numerical Analysis I
5. MAT 311: Abstract Algebra
6. MAT 316: Operations Research I
7. MAT 322: Differential Equations II
Students may choose any two courses from the following list of elective courses each of three credits offered by the MNS Department.
