The History Minor program offers a range of courses related to global and local histories to students from diverse disciplines. After completing the courses, students will attain historical knowledge of various spheres, particularly the modern world, South and Southeast Asia, Islam in the world, migration studies, colonial and postcolonial issues, revolutions and wars, women’s history, the development of modern science, the history of Bangladesh, and environmental history. These courses offer a unique education by creating an awareness of the differing social, cultural, political, and economic structures within past societies. In this process, students learn to think critically, analyze objectively and communicate in a scholarly manner.
