Anger is like happiness and sorrow; is a completely normal, healthy, human emotion. Every human being is born with this emotion. But the person’s feeling and expressions of anger are unique, it can be different from person to person. Some people tend to vent anger immediately when they lose their calm, capacity for rational thought and reasoning. While others chose to remain silent, hold their anger and express it later with a high level. Some people can be relaxed and express their temper in a healthy way. it is necessary to deal with anger in a constructive and healthy way for relational, mental physical and spiritual healthy life. The sharing and discussion with others regarding this issue could be helpful. Therefore group counseling setting is the unique opportunity to to meet others who have similar experiences and who also want to pursue personal growth. In a safe and supportive environment, one may experiment with new, more rewarding ways of relating to people from the group.
Therefore, the Counseling Unit of BRAC University takes the initiative to organize “Group Counseling sessions on Anger Management”. The objectives of the sessions are to learn from experience sharing and take an insight about anger. The person who is interested to explore the anger, wants to deal with anger in a healthy way, is comfortable in a group and can join every following sessions welcome to Group Counseling sessions.
