BRACU Freshman Orientation Program – Spring 2017, will be held at Army Golf Garden, Opposite Hotel Radisson, Airport Road, Dhaka on 02 January at 08:45AM. Please note that Day 1 Orientation Program is for STUDENTS ONLY. Students are advised not to bring their parents with them.

Day 2, January 3, 2017:

BRACU Freshman Parents' Orientation Program – Spring 2017, will be held on January 03, 2017 at BRACU Auditorium, Building UB1, Mohakhali Campus. Please note that freshman parents' orientation program will be held in two different slots (morning slot and afternoon slot). Parents, of fresher students who will join the FYAT DAY program in the morning, are requested to attend the morning slot and parents, of fresher students who will join the FYAT DAY program in the afternoon, are requested to attend the afternoon slots. Parents' are requested to be aware of the FYAT DAY timing of their wards' from the BRACU website on January 02, 2017.

FYAT DAY, January 3, 2017:

First Year Advising Team (FYAT) Day – Spring 2017, will be held on January 03, 2017 at BRACU Auditorium, Building UB1, Mohakhali Campus. Please note that FYAT DAY program will be organized in two different slots (morning slot and afternoon slot).

All Freshers of SPRING 2017 session are required to attend FYAT Day which is going to be held on the 3rdJanuary, 2017.

  • Students of RED Teams need to attend the morning session and the reporting time is 8:45 a.m. at BRACU Mohakhali Campus.
  • Student of GREEN Teams need to attend the afternoon session and the reporting time is 1:15 p.m. at BRACU Mohakhali Campus.


In case of cancellation due to unavoidable circumstances, please check website for new date.

Dear Graduates of the 11th Convocation,

Greetings and Congratulations!

Please collect your certificate and transcript from Registrar’s Office (UB60405) between 10:00 am to 4:00 pm from 18 December 2016 on all working days. You are also advised to bring convocation gown, provisional certificate (if issued) and ID Card.

You are to show your deposit slip of degree processing fee to get back your refundable amount from BRACU Accounts and Finance between 9:00 am to 3:00 pm on all working days.

Instruction for Convocation Invitees (Graduating Students):

  • Please collect your Convocation Gown and Invitation Cards from UB10107 of the University from 22nd November to 2nd December 2016 (including Friday and Saturday) from 9:00 am to 7:00 pm showing your ID card.

  • Please attend the rehearsal for the Convocation on Saturday, 3 December 2016 at 2:00 pm at Bangladesh Military Museum Ground, Bijoy Sarani, Dhaka. Attendance in the rehearsal is compulsory for all graduating students.

  • You must be present on the day of Convocation (05 December 2016) at ICCB, Dhaka at 1:30 pm. Convocation Procession will be formed by 2:00 pm.

  • Due to security reasons, you are requested not to bring any briefcase, handbag, mobile phone, camera and other electronic devices. This guideline is also applicable for the parents attending the convocation. 

  • A Professional Photographer shall be available at the Venue (ICCB) so that you may get photographs of the event taken on payment

  • You are requested not to bring anyone else other than the invitee in the Convocation Ceremony. You are also advised to follow the above instructions in order to avoid any embarrassment.

This is to inform you that BRACU, in collaboration with the High Commission of India, will send 6 students to India as the “Youth Delegation from Bangladesh” in the first week of December, 2016. The objectives of this delegation are to expose Bangladesh youths to India’s history, its cultural traditions and its socio-economic development and contribute to greater people-to-people contact. As part of this visit, the delegation is expected to travel to Delhi and other cities in India.

Students who have completed 60 credits and are interested in taking part in this visit should meet the following pre-requisites to qualify:

  • She/he should be a Citizen of Bangladesh (not a dual citizen) and holder of a valid Bangladeshi passport (or can acquire a valid passport by September 30, 2016)
  • She/he should be in the age group of 21-35
  • She/he should be in good health and fit to travel
  • She/he should be in a position to meet any expenses other than expenses towards transportation, accommodation and food, which will be borne by the Government of India.
  • She/he should not have visited India earlier
  • She/he should have a working knowledge of English
  • She/he must have CGPA > 3.50
  • She/he should not have any disciplinary issues
  • She/he should be an active member of a BRACU club or forum


Desirous students meeting the above criteria may drop their applications along with a recently updated CV and a recent passport size photograph at the Information Desk by 20th September, 2016.


Note: Selected students will be required to sign an indemnity bond.

Forms will be available at the information desk from August 28, 2016. The last date for submitting the filled out form along with grade sheets and photocopy of advising form is September 04, 2016.

The last date for paying tuition fees for the applicants of Scholarships and Financial Aid for Fall-2016 is September 29, 2016 (Thursday).
 

  • No late fees will be charged within this time.


Note: Scholarship must be adjusted before Mid-term of the respective semester.

Centre for Entrepreneurship Development (CED) of BRAC University has taken an initiative to encourage entrepreneurship among the students of BRAC University for developing their potentials through a package of entrepreneurship development program titled “CED Entrepreneurs’ Den”, which is open for all registered students and alumni of BRAC University to participate.

The program is intended to simulate the real worldsituations where entrepreneurs have to organize and develop their business ideas through innovation workshop,boot camp, business plan development to market their visions, create a strategy for executing plans, and deal with rejections; finally, by participating to the Business Plan Competition (Round 3, 2015-16).

Call for BRAC Scholarships/Financial Aids Application (Summer-2016)

BRAC Scholarship offers full tuition waiver, living allowance and book allowance for meritorious students from disadvantaged financial backgrounds who obtained a GPA of 4.00 from Science, Arts and Commerce (Without 4th subject) in SSC and HSC.

Interested BRACU students who have CGPA ≥3.00 with above mentioned conditions may apply for BRAC Scholarship tuition fee waiver and are required to fill up both the online Form and the Form collected from the Information desk to validate the application.

  • All Applications for ’BRAC Scholarship’ will have to be submitted electronically through ONLINE Form. The online form is available at the following link:
