The Alumni Association, BRAC University EEE (AABRACUEEE), hosted its first-ever event, the Annual Iftar Mahfil 2025, on March 13. This gathering aimed to foster alumni engagement and strengthen ties between past and present students. Held in the Theater Room (Level 9) and the University Cafeteria, the event brought together EEE alumni, faculty members, and students for an evening of speeches, networking, and heartfelt reunions.
Ahmed Imtiaz, President of AABRACUEEE, opened with an enthusiastic speech, expressing gratitude for the overwhelming participation and emphasizing the importance of alumni unity. Vice President Robiul Islam followed, discussing the association’s role in bridging alumni with the university, creating opportunities for mentorship, professional growth, and departmental contributions.
Chairperson of the Department of EEE, Dr. Mohammad Mosaddequr Rahman, praised the alumni’s initiative in forming the association and reaffirmed the department’s commitment to maintaining strong alumni relations. Faculty Representative Mohaimenul Islam stressed the mutual benefits of alumni engagement, such as career guidance and collaborative opportunities for students and graduates.
Tushar Hasan, General Secretary for PR & Branding, presented an overview of the Alumni Association’s mission, future plans, and engagement strategies. His discussion on upcoming initiatives—including networking sessions, mentorship programs, industry collaborations, and alumni awards—sparked enthusiasm among attendees.
A special moment was dedicated to Rafiqun Nabi, the creative mind behind the association’s official logo, as a token of appreciation for his contribution to shaping its identity.
Treasurer Galib Amin concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks, acknowledging the invaluable efforts of volunteers in organizing the event. Their dedication in coordinating guests and logistics played a crucial role in the Mahfil’s success.
After the formal session, attendees moved to the Cafeteria for the Iftar session, engaging in open conversations and strengthening their bonds. Over a shared meal, alumni reconnected, exchanged career experiences, and enjoyed a moment of spiritual togetherness during the Maghrib prayer.
Looking ahead, AABRACUEEE plans to host panel discussions, technical workshops, career fairs, and networking sessions, further enriching the alumni community’s role in shaping the future of the EEE department.
