Some 97 percent of pharmaceutical products consumed locally come from domestic production, a great progress achieved in this industrial sector of Bangladesh, said Tapan Chowdhury, managing director of Square Group.
Students should never become frustrated; honesty always leads to success one day while there is no shortcut to success, added Chowdhury, also a former adviser to a caretaker government.
He was giving a keynote speech at “BRAINIACS 2018: an event with the business leaders” on its concluding day at the auditorium of BRAC University’s Mohakhali campus in the capital on 28 March 2018.
The two-day event was organised by BRAC University Business Club in association with BRAC Business School (BBS), bringing business leaders from various organisations to motivate students.
Vice Chancellor Professor Syed Saad Andaleeb PhD graced the event as the chief guest, Pro-Vice Chancellor Professor Ansar Ahmed was the special guest while Professor Salehuddin Ahmed of BBS, also a former Bangladesh Bank governor, chaired the session.
A “Coffee with the HR Heads” was organised later at 3:00pm.
The inauguration day on 25 March 2018 centred on young leaders focusing on two issues -- young entrepreneurship and importance of business competitions.
