Three students of BRAC University, Raisa Samit Shams, Urmee Rahman Silvee and Nafees Faraz participated as a team entitled “Vanilla” in Inter University Marketing Competition “AD Maker Bangladesh ’15” colored by Elite Paint, presented by Robi and NSU YES. The competition began on the 30th of May 2015 with the brief for the first round where they were assigned to make an ATL campaign for Robi's new call-rate of 1paisa/second. There were a total of 120 teams divided into 12 groups. The first round presentation was held on the 5th of June 2015. The teams were judged based on the assuredness of their IMC plan and design on the given product, by some of the best marketing heads of the country and BRACU team Vanilla emerged as group champions. In the second round, the 12 groups were consolidated into 4 groups of 9 teams and were asked to prepare a BTL campaign for the same offer. BRACU team, Vanilla was one of the three teams that progressed into the final round, fighting for the grand prize against 11 other teams. All three members of the team Vanilla are students of BRAC Business School and active in various clubs like GAFBU and BIZBEE. This was their first attempt at participating in a business competition. The present experience will help them in future competition and will encourage other students to compete in national level competition.
