The James P Grant School of Public Health conducted a three-day Training of Trainers to orient participants on the basic concepts, approaches, techniques and skills of scientific communication. Held from 14-16 May, the workshop explored the skills and techniques which come into play for the trainers and mentors while providing effective mentoring and supervision in scientific writing situations. Facilitated by Barbara Gastel, a professor of integrative biosciences, humanities in medicine, and biotechnology at Texas A&M University, the workshop attracted development professionals involved in grant proposal writing and those seeking to improve scientific writing skills and communication.
