Stata is an important and widely used statistical analysis package not only for academic researchers in social science, public health, economics, and education. To meet the growing demand for skill, the James P Grant School of Public Health organised a short course from 14-15 February on “Intermediate Statistical Computing Using Stata” for researchers, market researchers, analysts and government agencies who deal with different types of data and projects in their day-to-day work. Other than this group, the course also attracted non-academic participants who apply data analysis from an econometric perspective. It was facilitated by Fahmida Homayra (Research Fellow, JPGSPH).
