The 'clean-up' program at the National Martyrs Memorial by the students of BRAC University Residential Campus was successfully held on March 30, 2018. Mr. Md. Morshedul Haque, Assistant Campus Superintendent, inaugurated the program on behalf of Campus Superintendent.
A group of 75 students and 20 administrative and management staff participated in the program to clean the surroundings of the site. Students were divided into four groups to clean up four different locations of the National Memorial. Through this event, the students became further inspired to carry out their social responsibilities as conscious citizens of the country.
The main objective of the event was to make students realize the spirit of patriotism and develop a sense of pride so that they can take initiatives for the betterment of their country. Interestingly, the visitors who were present during the clean-up activity were also moved by the noble initiative and even encouraged their children to practice such patriotic acts.
Mr. Saifur Rahman, Counselor and Lecturer at BRAC University, Mr. Bakul Hossain and Mr. Jubaer Saeed, Residential Campus Management Officers, were also present with the students.
