Department of Architecture and IPDC Sign MOU for Affordable Housing Design

A Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) was signed between The Department of Architecture, School of Architecture and Design, BRAC University and the IPDC Finance Limited on January 15, 2025. The collaboration aims to address the growing demand for affordable housing by merging innovative sustainable design with accessible financing.

Under this partnership, the faculty team from Department of Architecture will design cost-effective affordable housing schemes of different budgets. These plans will be focused on sustainability, functionality, and affordability. IPDC will provide financial solutions to enable individuals to build homes based on these designs, making home ownership a reality for many. The signing ceremony was attended by representatives from both organizations, including Professor Mahboob Rahman, Treasurer, BRAC University, Professor Zainab Faruqui Ali, Chairperson, Department of Architecture, Ariful Islam, CFO, BRAC University, Rizwan Dawood Shams, Managing Director, IPDC, faculties of Department of Architecture and senior representatives of IPDC.
