Dr Md Mamun Habib of BRAC University last month delivered a keynote lecture on “Supply Chain Management (SCM): A New Paradigm” at the International Conference on Innovations & Discoveries in Science, Engineering and Management in India.
The lecture illustrated the theory and evolution of supply chain management as a new branch of management through basic models, focusing on manufacturing and service industries.
An associate professor of BRAC Business School (BBS) and editor-in-chief of the International Journal of Supply Chain Management, Dr Habib also held a discussion on the integrated tertiary educational supply chain management model.
The conference in Karimnagar, Telangana on April 9-10 was organised by the Vaageswari College of Engineering in affiliation with Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Hyderabad and in association with Labtech Innovations.
It provided an international forum for researchers and practitioners from academia and industry to share knowledge, results and cutting-edge developments.
On invitation from the conference’s patron, Dr Ch Srinivas, Dr Habib inaugurated the event with distinguished guests, including Dr Subhransu Sekhar Dash from SRM University, Dr VN Mani from the Centre for Materials for Electronics Technology and Dr A Govardhan from the Jawaharlal Nehru university.
