BRACU Robotics Team received a prestigious invitation from IIT, INDIA to attend Techniche, the annual Techno-Management Festival of IIT Guwahati. Purpose of attending the event was to display two entertaining robot named “Wall-E” and “R2D2” beside a number of international Robots named INDRO, PuzzleBox etc. Around 50,000 people visited the exhibition and Robots from Bangladesh received great response from crowd.
The team was lead by Md. Saiful Islam, Lecturer of BRAC University CSE Department. The other two members were Zakir Hasan Chowdhury and Ali Newaz who presented themselves as the maker of Wall-E and R2D2 robot. They also have given a public lecture on initiative of BRAC Onnesha satellite and Robotic activities in BRAC University in front of a huge audience which was highly appreciated by the gathering. They also received an appraisal crest from Chandan Mahanta, Professor and Dean, Students’ Affairs of IIT, Guwahati.
The facilitator of the whole operation was Dr. Md. Khalilur Rhaman, Associate Professor of BRAC University CSE Department. IIT paid all the expenses for the team including the plane fair which was a great gesture of hospitality.
