On 23rd of March, 2017, BRAC Business School organized a seminar “Let’s Build a Brand” for the marketing enthusiasts of the department. The keynote speaker of the event was Mr. Khandakar Ashik Iqbal, Head of BTL Operations, Marketing Communication, Banglalink Digital Communication Limited. The seminar was organized by Ms. Rahma Akhter, Lecturer, BRAC Business School and was chaired by Dr. Iftekhar Ghani Chowdhury, Dean, BRAC Business School. A total of 60 people attended the seminar.
During the seminar, Mr. Iqbal discussed the factors that need to be considered when branding a product, while also sharing some examples of how Banglalink itself had been branded leading to its successful acceptance by customers. He pointed out the importance of logo designing, choosing colors and using a catchy tagline, through different videos. Apart from that, Mr. Iqbal mentioned how celebrity figures were utilized in numerous publicity and branding approaches. The seminar created a perfect bridge between the theories from the book and how those are implemented in real scenarios.
