A stakeholder meeting on the baseline study for the project titled “Empowering Female Garment Workers through Uptake of Eye-care Services” funded by the Fred Hollows Foundation was organized on 27 August 2017. The project aims to integrate eye-care services for female garment workers in Dhaka and Chittagong divisions to increase access to eye health-care through creating vision-friendly workplaces. Centre for Entrepreneurship Development (CED), BRAC University is going to conduct the baseline study. The stakeholder meeting was organized at 5:30 PM at GDLN Centre, BRAC University with the presence of factory owners and representatives from women’s cafe. Professor Dr. Rahim B. Talukdar, Adviser, CED; presided over the meeting. Ms. Zebun Nessa Ahmed, Operation Officer, the Fred Hollows Foundation, Mr. Shamim E. Haque, Assistant Professor, BRAC Business School and other representatives were also present.
