One student, Sabiha Jahan Liya performed her thesis presentation required under BTE 450 (Research Project, Thesis) course on Thursday, 24 May 2018 in Room UB 21511 of the MNS Department. The title of her thesis was “Determination of antimicrobial activity of some commercial fruit (apple, papaya, lemon and strawberry) extracts against bacteria causing urinary tract infection.” Sabiha Jahan Liya was supervised by Ms. Romana Siddique.
The viva-voce examinations for the presentations was chaired by Professor Dr. A. F. M. Yusuf Haider and attended by Professor Dr. Shah M Faruque, and Ms. Romana Siddique.
Three students named Sunayna Hossain Moumi, Sheikh Anushe and Nasif Bin Saif performed their thesis presentation required under BTE 450 (Research Project, Thesis) course on Sunday, 6 May 2018 in Room UB 21511 of the MNS Department. The title of their thesis was “Isolation of Salmonella spp. from raw meat, elucidation of their antibiotic susceptibility pattern and evaluating the antimicrobial efficacy of Oregano (Origanum vulgare) and Sesame (Sesamum indicum) against the isolates”, “In silico B-cell and T-cell epitope based vaccine designing against Chikungunya virus” and “Prevalence of Microorganism in Cell phone and the behavioral pattern associated with the demographics of Dhaka City (North)” respectively. Sunayna Hossain Moumi, Sheikh Anushe and Nasif Bin Saif were supervised by Ms.Shamira Tabrejee and Ms.Kashmery Khan respectively.
