Two officials of Unilever Bangladesh conducted an interactive session and screened a video at BRAC University (BRACU) on Monday, 16 July 2018, giving ideas to students on building their careers.
Titled “Help Grooming Future Leaders”, the event was organised by BRAC University Leadership Forum at BRAC University Indoor Games Room (Level 3, Building 6).
Pureit Brand Manager Tonmoy Dutta Gupta, a BRACU alumni, suggested not only maintaining a good CGPA but also engaging in social and extracurricular activities to create a strong profile for jobs in organisations such as Unilever.
He also informed that Pureit had a fund to support ideas of students that aim to benefit society.
Leadership Development Manager Tasmia Tasbih Nova informed of recruitment tools used by Unilever such as scenarios requiring solutions, online and aptitude tests, digital assessments and focus group discussions.
On focus group discussions, she said it was important to listen to others and advised not to interrupt anyone while they were talking for it indicated that one was not a team player.
She also showed a video containing messages of former employees including Bangladeshi actor and businessperson Aly Zaker and former advisor to a caretaker government and businessperson Geeti Ara Safia Chowdhury.
