This year, Center for Urban Equity and Health based at James P Grant School of Public Health, BRAC University, organized a short course on “Urban Health and Governance” in partnership with BRAC Institute of Governance and Development (BIGD), ICDDR’B and Power and Participation Research Center (PPRC). The short course started on 28th October and ended on 31st October. Thirty two participants from different organizations participated in the course. Organizations included BRAC, Marie Stopes, ICDDR’B, Engender Health, GAIN Health, UNAIDS, UPPR-UNDP, AIUB, iDE, Eminence, Narayangonj City Corporation, GIZ and JPGSPH . After completion of the course, the participants reported that the course helped them to improve their knowledge regarding urban health and governance issues, and they were hopeful about applying the gathered knowledge in their own organizations in the urban sector.
