The Jessup is the oldest, largest, and the most prestigious international moot court competition in the world, it attracts participants from over 700 universities from over 100 countries and jurisdictions. The Jessup presents the mooters with a hypothetical legal dispute on timely issues of public international law, which they argue before a mock International Court of Justice. This is only the second time that Bangladesh is competing in the International Rounds of the Jessup. The teams' travel to the International Rounds are being partially sponsored by the US Department of Justice.
The Moot Team of the School of Law comprises of Ms Hafsah Abdullah, Ms Maimuna Syed Ahmed, Mr Adnaan Uddin Ahmed, and Ms Tasneen Ahsan; and they are coached by Mr Farhaan Uddin Ahmed, Lecturer, School of Law.
