Dr. Faruk Bhuiyan is currently serving Brac Business School, Brac University, Dhaka, Bangladesh as Assistant Professor. Before joining at Brac University, Dr. Bhuiyan served academia for more than eight years at different capacities locally and internationally include the University of Newcastle (AACSB accredited) (Sessional Academic), Australia, and Australian Catholic University (Sessional Lecturer), Australia. Dr. Bhuiyan served Macquarie Business School, Macquarie University, Australia as a professional staff (Research Assistant) from March 2019 to December 2020.
Dr. Bhuiyan is an emerging researcher, has a track record of publishing in the refereed, peer reviewed, and internationally ranked journals include ‘Meditari Accountancy Research’, ‘Journal of Economic and Administrative Sciences’, ‘International Journal of Innovation and Sustainable Development’, and ‘Asian Economic and Financial Review’. His research works have also been published as book chapters by internationally recognised book publishers from USA.
His scholarly works have been presented at internationally reputed and premier conferences include ‘the Accounting and Finance Association of Australia and New Zealand (AFAANZ) Conference 2019, Brisbane, Australia’ and ‘Management Accounting Research Group (MARG) Conference 2018’, Aston Business School, Aston University, Birmingham, England.
Dr. Bhuiyan is active in rendering voluntary services in academia through reviewing scholarly works and providing with editorial services. He is currently serving the ‘Journal of Risk and Financial Management’ (ABDC list 2019: rank B) as GUEST EDITOR.
Dr. Bhuiyan has received his Ph.D. (with specialisation in Corporate Social Responsibility) from Macquarie Business School (AACSB accredited), Macquarie University, Australia. Before that, he obtained M.Phil. from the University of Dhaka, Bangladesh. Prior to that, he completed MBA (1st class 1st) and BBA (Faculty first).
