Mahfuza Hilali is an Associate Professor at Bangla Language and Literature course of School of General Education of BRAC UNIVERSITY, Dhaka. She is also a Researcher, Playwright & Theater-Artist. Already She has Published Twelve books and Nine research articles.
She has achieved both her M. Phil. and Ph. D. degree from University of Dhaka in year 2008 and 2014. Her M.Phil. research was on `Reflection of Life and Society in five Novels of Manik Bandhapadhya’. And her Ph.D. research was on `Women in Tagore’s Drama’.
She has worked as an anthologist and researcher in a project of Bangladesh Asiatic Society named ‘Encyclopedia of Bangladesh War of Liberation’. She also worked as Researcher & Compiler at Diachronic Dictionary of Bangla Language (2013), Bangla Academy, Dhaka.
She likes to research women’s life on literature and society. Her current research is on `Nowab Foyjunnesa Chowdhurani’. Here, she mentions Foyjunnesa was the first Existential Muslim woman in Bangla. She researched on `Sreemoti Rashosundari’, who wrote the first Autobiography in Bangla Literature. She researched as a ‘Fellow’ on ‘Aesthetic analysis of female character in Abdulla Al Mamun’s film’ at Bangladesh Film Archive.
She completed `Workshop on dramatization of Rabindranath’s Literature’ organized by Cultural Ministry of India at Shantiniketan in 2011.
