Masuda Akther is a lecturer in Microbiology program, Department of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, BRAC University. Before joining BRAC University, she worked as Senior Research Assistant in International Centre for Diarrhoeal Disease Research, Bangladesh (icddr,b) and was involved in various collaborative research projects related to epidemiological study of cholera outbreaks and development of effective mitigation strategies for the population of Bangladesh. She graduated from University of Dhaka in 2018 and completed MSc from the same institution in 2019. Her thesis was about development of a multiepitope recombinant vaccine candidate against Foot-and-Mouth Disease Virus Serotype A circulating in Bangladesh. Along with Virology, she is also passionate about Immunology, Molecular Biology and Bioinformatics.
