Md. Abu Sufian has been working as a Lecturer at BRAC Institute of Languages since April, 2014. He has six years of experience working as an English Language Teacher at Bangladesh International Tutorial (BIT) and The New School, Dhaka (NSD). He has also worked at Uttara City College for about a year as a faculty member in English Department and gained good experience about the teaching of main stream education at Higher Secondary Level in Bangladesh. He was also involved with the Language Proficiency Center (LPC) as a part-time English Language Trainer for Madrasha teachers and students in two different programs under the supervision of American Center, Dhaka for about four years. In early 2014, he facilitated a training course on “English for Professional Development” at Bangladesh Insurance Academy under the Finance Ministry. He also conducted a professional training session on “Grammar and Speaking Skill” at New Vision Solutions Ltd., at a Japanese research consulting firm in 2013. He was awarded a micro-scholarship for a teachers’ training program, known as “English Access Micro-scholarship Teachers’ Training Program”, at the University of South Carolina, USA in 2011 by U.S. Department of State. He has presented several research papers in different national and international conferences. Currently, he is perusing M Phil at Bangladesh University of Professionals (BUP).
