Sharmin Nahar Nipa is working in the Centre for Climate Change and Environmental Research (C3ER) of BRAC University since January’ 2013 where she involved in research as well as teaching as a Lecturer. She taught different courses on climate change and disaster management, including the climate change adaptation course in the Certificate Course on ‘Introduction to Climate Change’ and Knowledge Development Training on ‘Climate Change’ organized by C3ER. Moreover, she also taught Disaster Risk Management module in the James P. Grant School of Public Health (JPGSPH) and Economic Geography in the Mathematics and Natural Science (MNS) department of BRAC University. Simultaneously, she is the training coordinator of C3ER. Professionally, she is a Geographer with seven years of experience in the sector of Climate Change, Disaster Management; Crop Modelling, GIS Mapping, Hydrodynamic Modelling, Environmental and Water Resource Management. She completed my M.Sc on Geography and Environment from Jahangirnagar University with particular emphasis on Environmental Management. Besides, she did another Masters on Disaster Management at the University of Dhaka. She started my career as Research Associate in Disaster Forum where my job responsibility was to data collection, data analysis, GIS Mapping and writing of reports. After that, Ms Nipa joined Center for Environmental and Geographic Information Services (CEGIS) in February’ 2011 and rendered my service under the Climate Change Study Division as Professional till January, 2013.
