Mr. Muhammad Ferdaus is a Lecturer & Coordinator of Postgraduate Programs in Disaster Managements (PPDM) at BRAC University, Bangladesh. He is also an Assistant Manager of a European Union project, call ASCENT (Advancing Skill Creation to ENhance Transformation. Ferdaus is one of the youngest CEM (Certified Energy Manager) under The Association of Energy Engineers, USA. He has successfully done a USGBC project with Gold category certification and he has efficaciously completed a several projects of Catalyzing Clean Energy under the USAID Task 5 initiative, Bangladesh. And he is now, one of the Global Energy Talents Fellow under the UNLEASH Organization, Denmark.
He has completed his Masters in Disaster Management from PPDM, BRAC University, Dhaka. As one of the 200 Global Young Leaders Fellow under the Women Deliver Organization and active State Alumni of the U.S. Department of State, Ferdaus has participated in several leadership & advocacy training in the USA, Denmark, Sweden, Pakistan, India and so one. He has also participated in various capacity building workshops under ASCENT project funded by the European Commission and Erasmus+ Program of the European Union at University of Naresuan Thailand, The University of Huddersfield, United Kingdom; and University of Ruhuna, Sri Lanka.
In 2014 Mr. Ferdaus was nominated by the U.S. Embassy Dhaka, to participate in a year-long Community College Initiative Program (CCIP) in Public Safety (disaster management) certificate program at Bunker Hill Community College Boston, USA. He has also attended a certificate program under the Harvard University, USA (https://news.harvard.edu/gazette/story/2015/05/united-in-grief-and-action/). Mr. Ferdaus attended in the Harvard Project for Asian and International Relations (HPAIR) conference in January 2015 and Harvard South Asian Institute Symposium in the same year. Ferdaus has completed his internship at the American Red Cross MA headquarters and Boston Elderly Commission, Boston, USA.
