Rubana Ahmed is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Economics and Social Sciences at BRAC University, Dhaka. Dr. Ahmed has also been involved with various non-profit organizations through research and evaluation projects while working with the Institute for Urban Policy Research at UTD. She holds an undergraduate degree from the University of Dhaka, a masters degree from the Southern Methodist University, Dallas, Texas and a PhD in Public Policy & Political Economy from the University of Texas at Dallas, USA.

Additionally, She is serving as the University Proctor at BRAC University from May 23, 2022.
