Saiqa Iqbal Meghna completed her Bachelor of Architecture degree in 2008 from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology. Besides practicing as an architectural consultant, she started teaching as a full time faculty in the Department of Architecture, Stamford University. Her office participated in many architectural competitions and has been awarded in some major competitions including 1st prize in ‘Holcim Green Built Bangladesh’, idea project category; 2nd prize in Gulshan Club, 3rd prize in Liberation War Museum, Bangladesh. She participated and presented papers in several international seminars and conferences. She has travelled in many cities in Europe, attended lectures and visited important architectural schools which have influenced her interest in bridging the gap between academic and professional practice. Her Master’s degree in Digital Tectonics and four months research program on Digital Fabrication has accelerated her research interest on contextual interpretation of architectural form generation. She received IAB Design Award, the most prestigious professional architectural design award of the country in 2018 for designing public place.
