

Salma Begum,PhD
Associate Professor
Salma Begum is an economist by training and an educator by profession. Currently, she works as an Associate Professor of Economics at Brac University. Her doctoral dissertation was in the field of Labor Economics. Her teaching and research interests are in applied microeconomics, with particular focus on labor market and public policy.
She is a nature lover and enjoys traveling in her spare time. She's also an avid follower of Tigers (Bangladesh National Cricket Team); their victory can brighten up any day for her.

+–Dr. Salma has obtained PhD in Economics from University of Kentucky (UKY), USA, Master of Social Science in Economics from National University of Singapore (NUS), and her Bachelor of Economics (Hons) from Monash University in Australia with AusAid scholarship.
