Throughout his life, Shadman Shahriar has always been passionate about teaching, and considers himself to be lucky to have been given the opportunity to teach others as a professional. His passion for teaching can be traced back to his inquisitive nature and eagerness to learn new skills. He loves getting people excited about learning new concepts and looking at well-known facts through different perspectives. Walking down this path, lately he found myself self-studying and researching on different fields of quantum computing. If presented the option, he wishes to pursue his higher studies and research in related fields.
Growing up, he has always been keen to participate in extra-curricular activities, mostly outshining in Olympiad territory. To this date, few of his crowning achievements in life would be achieving bronze medal in International University Physics Competition in 2018, securing silver medal in 4th National Bangladesh Physics Olympiad, attending National Physics Camp in 2014, attending National Math Olympiad in 2013 etc. Aside Olympiads, he has also honed his leadership skills during his school, college, and job life alike. Outside his scholastic and professional life, he loves animals, and prefers suburban lifestyle. Currently he owns three cats and a small pond full of fish to feed them occasionally. Completing his B.Sc. in EEE, he joined BRACU to teach courses on electrical and electronics courses. Here, he has worked as coordinator for Circuits and Electronics (CSE250) and Quantum Computing (CSE490.1) courses and got the chance to redesign the course syllabi to suit the need of the learners. The recent adoption of remote learning (due to the COVID-19 pandemic) enabled him to learn lots of new skills and use them to create educational materials that are diverse and more engaging than just physical classes. Going forward he is committed to fully devote his skills and knowledge for the advancement of mankind.
