Project Mission
BRAC Aarong commissioned the Ci+AU to design a visually compelling and thoughtfully crafted menu book for Aarong Grassroots Café that would reflect the cafe's commitment to environmental well-being and stewardship.
Project Objectives
The Grassroots Cafe menu is designed with simplicity and mindfulness. Its layout is compact and easily readable, with clearly defined sections for each culinary category. Simple zen-like graphics, or watercolor-style illustrations, of plants and leaves native to Bangladesh frame the menu, contributing to a serene aesthetic.
The overall visual theme reflects earthy tones—greens, browns, and soft beiges—to evoke a connection to nature and emphasize the native, grassroots feel. The result is a menu that goes beyond conventional culinary offerings, providing an enriching, educational experience highlighting the richness of Bangladesh's native plants and food culture.
