'Angan’ is a regular lecture series that invites architects, academics and various personalities involved in creative fields. These lectures are to inspire students and all participants to seek inspiration and to learn.
Angan is a forum of the Department of Architecture, BRAC University, Bangladesh for lectures delivered by architects and related professionals. Angan lecture series started in 2002 when the department also started its journey. The first Angan lecture was delivered by late architect Muzharul Islam, the senior-most and the pioneer of modern architecture in the country. Since then over 120 Angan lectures have been delivered by international and national personalities including B V Doshi, Dan Wheeler, Peter Rowe, Jeffrey Cook, Nasser Rabbat, Wong Mun Summ, Salma Samar Damluji, Nathaniel Kahn, Sumet Jumsai, and well-known local architects.
