Life is full of opportunities and potentialities. Every individual can rejoice the beauty of life and has the capacity to overcome life challenges. Challenges of life can be often difficult in a number of different ways for example facing problem with new environments, confusion in deciding on a major or career path, struggling in relationships, or making friends. In such circumstances, we may feel anxious, depressed, confused, or overwhelmed at some point of life. At times often these situations are easily managed and sometimes cannot and need help dealing with such feelings and problems that seem beyond our control.
Sometimes while sharing such feelings with friends, family members, colleagues or significant others, they may misunderstand and judge us as wrong or information may not be kept confidential. For that reason, at some point we feel like that we are alone, abandon, neglected, frustrated and depressed and so on. Talking with a professional counselor can help to deal with such difficulties, explore potentialities to reach the peak of self empowerment.
With this concern, the Counseling Unit of Brac University offers free and confidential mental health services through a listening ear, appropriate therapeutic procedure and incorporates mind, emotion, physical and spiritual aspects in a holistic way to help students, faculty members and staff to make positive changes in life.
