The massive economic crisis triggered by the COVID-19 outbreak has hit the poor and vulnerable population the hardest. For effective policy response to the poverty consequences of the COVID-19 crisis, the importance of real-time evidence cannot be over-emphasized. Last month, Power and Participation Research Centre (PPRC) and Brac Institute of Governance and Development (BIGD) had concluded a joint large scale telephonic rapid response research project on the economic impact of the COVID-19 pandemic and had shared the findings of the research through a virtual press conference.
We now jointly invite you to a Webinar for the launch of our Report on "Livelihoods, Coping, and Support during COVID-19 Crisis" - where we share our detailed findings and recommendations from the first and second rounds of the survey. The webinar will take place on 2:00 PM (BST), Wednesday, 20 May, 2020.
The detailed research findings will be unveiled by Dr Hossain Zillur Rahman, Executive Chairman, PPRC and Dr Imran Matin, Executive Director, BIGD.
