Basurama, an acclaimed architecture/urban design/activist firm from Madrid, will present their work at the Department of Architecture, BRACU, on Thursday, Feb. 8, 11:30 am - 1:00 pm, at the Exhibition Space on the 14th floor, Building 4.
"Basurama is an artist collective dedicated to research, cultural and environmental creation and production whose practice revolves around the reflection of trash, waste and reuse in all its formats and possible meanings. It was born in the Madrid School of Architecture (ETSAM) in the year 2001 and, since then, it has evolved and acquired new shapes."
The Department of Architecture at BRAC University partnered with the Embassy of Spain to organize a Spanish Architecture Lecture Series in Fall 2017 and Spring 2018. The Basurama presentation is the final lecture of the Series. A first time of its kind in Bangladesh, this series has been an excellent way of bringing knowledge about international architectural and urban innovations to Bangladesh and pave the path for greater cultural exchange between Bangladesh and Spain.
The lecture is free and open to the public.
