Webinar: Conversation on the Louis Kahn's Parliament Building
October 30th, 2020 - 8:00pm to October 31st, 2020 - 9:45pm The Centre for Inclusive Architecture and Urbanism (Ci+AU) at BRAC University presents a virtual conversation on our Parliament building and its celebrated designer, Louis Kahn, on Friday, Oct. 30, at 8-10 PM. A powerful panel of speakers will discuss many unexplored sides of the creation of Sher-e-Bangla Nagar and how its designer's philosophy of spatiality intersected with the Bangalis' political struggle. For the first time, Louis Kahn's daughter, Sue Ann Kahn, and the Parliament's project architect, Henry Wilcots, who oversaw the completion of the complex after Louis Kahn had died unexpectedly in 1974, and Sundaram Tagore, director of the documentary, Louis Kahn's Tiger City (2019) will come together to discuss their experience.
Adnan Z Morshed, Executive Director of Ci+AU, will moderate the event.
