Hasibul Hasan Ahmed, Coordinator of the Social Impact Lab and an alumnus of BRAC University, has been awarded the prestigious Erasmus Mundus Scholarship to pursue the highly competitive MESPOM program (MSc in Environmental Sciences, Policy, and Management).
The MESPOM program is globally recognized as one of the top Erasmus Mundus initiatives in the field of environmental science. This year, the program had an exceptionally competitive selection process, admitting only 22 candidates out of over 2,000 qualified applicants — an acceptance rate of just 1.1%.
The joint master’s program is hosted by four leading universities: Central European University (CEU), Lund University, the University of Manchester, and the University of the Aegean. Both Lund and the University of Manchester have earned global acclaim for their commitment to sustainability, ranked 3rd and 9th respectively in the QS World Rankings for Environmental Sciences.
This remarkable achievement highlights Hasibul Hasan Ahmed’s dedication to environmental policy and impact-driven work, and reflects BRAC University’s growing global presence in fostering academic excellence and leadership in sustainability.
