Centre for Peace and Justice of BRAC University (CPJ BRACU) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Jatiya Kabi Kazi Nazrul Islam University (JKKNIU) at the JKKNIU campus on 12 August 2018.
Through signing this MoU, both universities agreed to cooperate in promoting peace, social justice and inclusive society through research, training and advocacy under a project entitled ‘Empowered Women Peaceful Community’ funded by UN Women. Under this project CPJ BRACU will provide a comprehensive Training on Peace building, Leadership and Entrepreneurship to 150 female students of JKKNIU in 2018-19.
Dr. Md. Humayun Kabir, Registrar (Acting) of Jatiya Kabi Kazi Nazrul Islam University and Lt Col Md. Foyzul Islam (Retd), Registrar of BRAC University signed the MoU in presence of Prof. Dr. AHM Mustafizur Rahman, Vice-Chancellor of JKKNIU, Prof. Dr. Nazmul Ahsan Kalimullah, Vice-Chancellor of Begum Rokeya University Rangpur and Dr. Samia Huq, Associate Professor and Proctor of BRAC University.
During signing ceremony from JKKNIU side, Prof. Md. Jalal Uddin, Treasurer, Prof Nazrul Islam, Dean of Social Science Faculty, Md Wali Ullah, Lecturer of Public Administration and Governance Studies Department while on behalf of CPJ BRACU; Mr. Zia Uddin, Research Associate and Ms. Sharmin Rashid, Research Assistant were present among others.
