On October 24th, 2024, for the very first time, the Office of the Proctor, BRAC University conducted an interactive awareness session on “Campus Safeguarding” with the pre-university students of BRAC Institute of Languages. The session was conducted to create awareness among the students of the pre-university phase, about various sorts of campus safeguarding protocols, the set of policies and procedures, BRAC University offers to its students to ensure institutional safeguarding. During the session, an elaborated overview was portrayed about the comprehensive safeguarding policies and processes to provide a safe environment for all members of the BRAC University community.
The session was conducted by the Junior Proctors and was ennobled by the presence of the Deputy Proctor and Acting Deputy Registrar, Advocate Farhan Haq. Around 150 students and some faculty members of BRAC Institute of Languages attended the session. The response of the students and their enthusiasm to know various processes and procedures of BRAC University was truly commendable. Additionally, the students raised concerns related to cyber security breaches and potential cyber threats and the issues were adequately acknowledged and duly discussed.
