University is not a place for earning CGPAs only as students here undergo mental development through various extracurricular activities, said Brac University (BracU) President and Vice Chancellor Professor Vincent Chang.
Recruiters consider extracurricular activities to be as important as good results and club activities help students reach the peak of success, he said inaugurating a “Club Fair for Summer 2019” at BracU’s Mohakhali campus on 16 June 2019.
Titled “Summer Sault”, the three-day fair was organised by Brac University Business Club (BIZ BEE) inside the auditorium, Prangan and Indoor Games Room and participated by 27 clubs to encourage freshers into joining those reflecting their interests.
Students enjoyed a performance by popular singer Rafa, Brac University Film Club screened a movie on the second day, Brac University Drama and Theatre Forum staged a drama and Brac University Monon rendered a performance.
On the last day, BIZ BEE arranged another fair on the same premises involving student enterprises.
Registrar Lt Col Md Foyzul Islam (Retd) was present while Assistant Professor Dilara Afroz Khan, director of the Office of Co-curricular Activities, also spoke at the event.
