Counseling Unit of BRAC University organized a virtual workshop on managing stress on 25 October, 2021. The event sought to raise awareness and promote well-being of postgraduate students.
Stress is the natural response of the body to some events which makes one feel overwhelmed and unable to cope with the situation. In recent times, people are encountering stress due to the Covid-19 pandemic, for online workloads, future uncertainties and pressure of time constraints in their lives. Although stress to some extent is beneficial as it inspires to achieve goals, chronic stress can detrimentally affect bodies and turn to physical displeasures, increasing the risk of obesity, insomnia, heart disease, and many other forms of illnesses.

It attempted to achieve better results and health through effective management of distress. One objective of the workshop was to identify the triggers of stress which affect their daily lives, relationship and performance.
