The Eight delivery of the Microfinance Training of Trainers course (MFTOT-7) started on Dec 15 2011 and will continue till April 2012 .Microfinance is recognized as an effective development interaction that enhances access to financial services by low income individuals. While there is great demand for microfinance services the main constraint is not a lack of funds but a lack of capacity in operating a sustainable institution. To address this problem, the ADBI, TDLC which is a member of GDLN Asia Pacific and the United Nations Capital Development Fund (UNCDF) Launched the MFToT program in 2005.
The interactive microfinance distance learning course (MFDL) developed by UNCDF was the core learning material for study. Four (4) Interactive Video Conference sessions take place in 4 months at BRAC University Premises along with online tutoring, e-discussion and online exams. Submission of assignments and receiving online tutoring will help participants to master the knowledge of best practice of microfinance.
