Failure should always be embraced for it is the best appreciator and decider of true friends, said Brac University President and Vice Chancellor Professor Vincent Chang on Wednesday, 26 June 2019.
So it is ok to fail miserably even after putting in effort because it is the only way one can really learn, he said as chief guest of a graduation ceremony of Scholastica’s Class XII of 2019 at its Senior Campus Mirpur in Dhaka.
Professor Vincent said to have faced rejection very many times in his professional life. It is the same for many renowned persons, he said.
Addressing the occasion as a special guest, Lady Syeda Sarwat Abed, director of BRAC Institute of Languages, said Bangladesh needed heroes to fight for what was right.
She said to have always considered graduates and the future generation as heroes who would come to lead the country someday.
Brac University also aims to create leaders who are not only smart and intelligent but also good human beings, said Lady Abed, also the educational institution’s associate vice president, student life.
Farah Sophia Ahmed, principal of the senior campus, gave the welcome speech and presented crests to the chief and special guests. Afterwards, the graduates were presented their certificates. Students staged cultural program at the event.
