Monon wins championship of Cultural Fest 2.0

Members of Monon, a student club of BRAC University, have clinched the championship title of Cultural Fest 2.0, which was organized by event management firm Event Box at Aloki on 15 November 2024.

The students competed in four categories—art, music, dance, and drama—featuring a rendition of Chorki of Kaaktaal, a dance performance titled “Jago Nari Jago”, a mime performance addressing contemporary issues in Bangladesh, and creative artworks.

The event showcased talents from 12 universities across Bangladesh. The panel of judges included Elita Karim, Ahsan Habib Nasim, Wasek Mottakinur Rahman, and Shamsul Alam Azad. 
Jahangirnagar University and the BGMEA University of Fashion & Technology securing the first and second runner-up positions respectively. 

The event included musical performances by Shironamhin, AvoidRafa, Kaaktaal, Tarun Band, and Calypso.
